Officer Commanding 'A' Sqn,
Capt T. Smith
Message from OC 'A' Sqn. From the CP

First of all it was a great honour to be appointed OC “A” back in September of last year, and what a busy year it has been.

We started by being told we were no longer to be an Armoured Sqn and we have to convert to Recce. It sounds easy, but like all things military there were, and still are hurdles we have to clear.

I am sure as always, we will with the help of the RCC and a bit of luck come through this transformation with flying colours.

The rest of this year will also be extremely busy, as we as a regiment celebrate our 100th birthday, so I will take this opportunity to say “HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY” to all current members and ex members of the SALH, especially those who are and have served in “A” Sqn and Medicine Hat. It will be a busy year so I am asking you all to support the Sqn in all of the activities that have been planed. I know it will not be field time but how often do you turn 100? Remember we will not be there next time.

So, well done so far, well done on your conversion training, and enjoy all the celebrations to come.

OUT

T Smith
Captain
OC 'A' Sqn
